Whether it's after a hard week's work on a Friday, a family meal with no cooking required on a Saturday, or a beer soaker after a night out in the early hours of Sunday morning, takeaways are a right of passage in Cambridge and across the UK.
And for a smallish city, Cambridge packs a heavy takeaway punch, with over 60 restaurants that deliver via JustEat alone.
However, does where you order your food have an impact on the meal's quality?
In order to find out, we've crunched the numbers of all the curry houses, Chineses and burger joints in the city via JustEat review scores (which are marked out of six for reasons we can't explain or find out).
While differences in the standard of takeaways in differing areas are pretty obvious, it's surprising to find an entire point between the highest ranked area and the lowest.
It's important to remember though that this is not an exhaustive list. Not every takeaway uses JustEat, and some takeaways outside Cambridge will deliver into the city.
But anyway, here are the areas with the best average score for takeaways on JustEat.
1st: West Chesterton (average rating 5.16)
West Chesterton has beat out all comers to take top spot on our list.
A bulk of top-class Indian restaurants near Mitcham's Corner has put the North Cambridge area top of the list.
If a conventional tandoori isn't your curry craving however, Sri Lankan restaurant Cambridge Bananaleaf is one of the highest rated in the area, with one reviewer saying: "Delicious, high quality and authentic with great service! Highly recommend!"
2nd: Petersfield (average rating 5.08)
While it comes behind West Chesteron on average score, Petersfield has some top class restaurants for every tastebud.
It's also got the traditional big hitters of the takeaway world thanks to a glut of restaurants on Mill Road.
Furthermore, with 12 restaurants to its name, it also has more takeaways than any other area.
Joint 3rd: Arbury (average rating 5)
While it's surprising to see Arbury right up here, the area does have some real hidden gems.
However, if you fancy something different, why not try the Burger and Beer.
Their combination of buns and beer left a positive taste in reviewer Demi's mouth, who said: "If that burger was a person I'd swipe right."
Joint 3rd: Coleridge (average rating 5)
Coleridge is another area that scores well thanks to some top quality takeaways on Cherry Hinton Road.
It's also the home of Cherry Box Pizza, which is legendary for having some of the best pizzas in the county never mind Cambridge.
The restaurant has free delivery (which can't be said a lot for Cambridge takeaways), and also delivers alcohol, just in case you fancied a nightcap with your pizza.
A real personal favourite of mine, and Millie-Jane, who wrote: "Gorgeous pizza, restaurant quality and not at all greasy! I'll definitely be ordering again because it's delicious and far healthier than most pizza delivery options."
5th: Romsey (average rating 4.8)
Variety is the spice of life in Romsey with no two takeaways on JustEat being the same.
However, the real gem of Romsey is Ohayo Sushi Bar.
Whilst the food might not be to everyone's taste, it's one of the few sushi bars in Cambridge that will deliver to your door.
The restaurant was a real hit with Sophie, who wrote: "Ordered sushi from a lot of places and this one is by far my favourite! Its so good every time."

6th: East Chesterton (average rating 4.75)
There's only two resturants in East Chesterton that deliver via JustEat, but both are solid takeaways.
Cinnamon has been a regular spot for Bob, who said in one of his reviews: "I seriously can't fault Cinnamon delivery is all ways on time and hot, fantastic customer service,"
And Will said of Panshee Grill: "Good food still hot when it arrived. Excellent seasoning of the meat and great value for money. Thank you."
