Gabby Giffords’ gun control group is pressing web hosts to close down sites for and

Giffords’ group claims “ghost guns” are increasingly being used by criminals and they want the web hosts to “invoke…policies to help stem the tide of this illegal, deadly behavior.”

According to the Associated Press, Giffords’ group is specifically asking Shopify and DreamHost to close down the sites. They point to reports that the Rancho Tehama School attack (November 14) involved a homemade gun, suggesting that proves more regulations regarding law-abiding citizens and “ghost guns” are needed.

Cody Wilson runs and stresses that “the products he sells on his website are legal and in compliance with federal regulations.” He said Giffords’ gun control push is “an attempt to apply pressure to deplatform a legal, American business selling legal products to law-abiding customers.” And he told Breitbart News that Gifford’s group “should have Googled ‘tortious interference'” before pressuring a web host to shut down his site.

On November 20 Breitbart News reported that Giffords’ gun control group responded to the Las Vegas concert attack by calling for more gun control on muzzleloaders. Nevermind the fact that muzzleloaders were not used in the Vegas attack.

Additionally, muzzleloaders are not a go-to gun for 21st century Americans and Giffords’ group admitted this, saying, “Muzzleloaders are firearms that must be loaded through the end of the barrel with powder, wadding and a projecticle. Muzzleloaders fell out of favor as a firearm of choice almost a century ago, and are generally seen as primitive antiques.”

But gun control is the battle cry of the left, so new laws are always pushed as a solution to the failure of old ones which criminals have ignored for decades.
