A man wanted in Texas for alleged sexual abuse of a teenage girl spent three months hiding in the border state of Nuevo Leon. Investigators arrested the fugitive in Guadalupe, part of the Monterrey metropolitan area.

A source within the Nuevo Leon Attorney General’s office revealed to Breitbart Texas that the suspect identified as 56-year-old Jesus Delgado Navarro is the man named in a warrant filed by the U.S. Marshal’s Service. Nuevo Leon agents tracked the fugitive to a house in the San Agustin neighborhood. At the time of the arrest, the man tried to fool authorities by providing a false identification with the name Jose Luis Navarro Contreras with a 1963 birth year.

The arrest took place after the U.S. Marshals shared the warrant with Nuevo Leon authorities. The state agents compared the information and confirmed that Delgado was the person in the house, born in 1960.

Jesus “Jesse” Delgado who also goes by the name “Alfonso Hernandez” has been accused by San Marcos, Texas, police of sexually assaulting a 15-year-old girl. Delgado allegedly offered driving classes to the teen but the forced her into a hotel room and sexually assaulted her, authorities claim. Since Delgado fled from San Marcos, local police turned to the U.S. Marshal’s Service.

Initially, deputy U.S. Marshals suspected that Delgado was hiding in Houston, but then they were able to get information that led them to the low-income neighborhood in Nuevo León.
