Rain is sweeping in across Cambridgeshire today (Saturday, February 10), with showers forecast for the rest of the day and into tonight.
However, earlier forecasts of snow should not materialise in the next 48 hours, according to the Met Office – but we may get sleet next week.
The Cambridge area can expect rain any time from around 12 noon, and then throughout the afternoon.
It is predicted the rain will peter out by 3am on Sunday (February 11).
Sunday itself is due to be a brighter and drier day, but it will also be breezy.
Temperatures will remain low across the weekend.
Monday's weather will be much like Sunday's, but on Tuesday and Wednesday, a cold front will bring downpours of sleet.
