People in Cambridge can't stop laughing amid the KFC chicken shortage crisis.
Stores across the Cambridgeshire region were forced to close their after suppliers failed to deliver the staple chicken and chips.
One Haverhill customer, Sabrina, said on Twitter that the fries shortage was "not acceptable", and her heart was "broken beyond repair" on Friday night (February 16).
Reacting online people shared their hilarious thoughts on this clucking joke.
Pamela Franks on Facebook said: "It's probably a mutant chicken rebellion."
Jonas001commented: "This is foul."
Jules Pardon said: "The chickens gone on strike."
Another asked for some respect for the KFC on East Road which was once the home to a famous philospher who lived above where the restaurant is now.
Other KFC fans couldn't hold back their despair at missing out.
Aaron Craven wrote on Facebook: "10pm Haverhill’s KFC shut last night, ruined my life…. couldn’t stop crying."
Danielle Kennedy added :"I was one of the victims at the Haverhill branch."
In one case there was even talk of looking at alternatives, in case the crisis keeps going.
Paul Osborne joked: "Cambridge Fried Owl it is then."
