A storm of outrage has erupted on social media after a Conservative Party candidate made sickening comments about Jews, AIDS and chavs.
On Twitter George Stoakley, made the comments on Twitter when he was a teenager, but they have re-emerged now.
In the tweets he joked about Anne Frank's suffering while hiding from the Nazis and also called AIDS 'weaponised semen'.
The 23-year-old was due to stand for election in the May 3 South Cambridgeshire District Council elections for the Fen Ditton and Fulbourn ward.
Following outrage on social media after the tweets were discovered the Conservative Party has suspended Mr Stoakley and started an investigation.
In other tweets Mr Stoakley said he envied Jeremy Kyle's job because he got to 'shout at chavs all day'.
The tweets, which have caused widespread disgust, date back to 2013 and 2014.
Many have suggested he is unfit to stand and this morning (April 26) Mr Stoakley no longer appears on the list of candidates for the Fen Ditton and Fulbourn ward on South East Cambridgeshire Conservatives website.
However, he still appears on the list of candidates on the South Cambridgeshire District Council website.
