Passengers are currently facing severe delays and cancellations between Cambridge and Liverpool Street, with disruption also affecting Stansted Airport.

Services have been disrupted due to a points failure at Cheshunt for the second time in two days.

Passengers are advised to take rail services to Kings Cross.

If passengers are at Liverpool street, tickets will be accepted on the underground from Liverpool Street to Kings Cross.

While the points error has been resolved, cancellations will take place until 11.15am, and there will be delays to services throughout the morning.

Other services have been delayed by almost half an hour, and some services to Cambridge North will now only call at Cambridge.

The following services will still be delayed:

The 10.15am Cambridge North to London Liverpool Street is now due at 11.44am.

The 10.25am London Liverpool Street to Stansted Airport is now due 11.14am.

The 10.30am London Liverpool Street to Norwich is now due at 12.27pm.

The 10.30am Stansted Airport to London Liverpool Street is now due at 11.17am.

The 10.45am Stansted Airport to London Liverpool Street is now due at 11.33am.

The 11am London Liverpool Street to Norwich is now due at 12.50pm.

The 11.15am Cambridge North to London Liverpool Street is now due at 12.45pm.

A Network Rail spokesperson said: “We would like to apologise to passengers affected by the points failure at Cheshunt this morning, affecting services on the West Anglia main line. Our engineers have fixed the issue and the line was reopened at 9:45am, however there will be knock-on delays.”
