Police are hunting this man after serious attack leaves victim in hospital

Police are appealing to the public for help in tracing a wanted man in connection with a serious assault on New Year's Day.

In the early hours of yesterday morning (January 1) a man in his thirties was assaulted and suffered serious injuries in Thimble Close, Colne.

As a result of his injuries, the victim was taken to Addenbrooke's where he is continuing to be cared for by medical staff.

Following the attack, Cambridgeshire police are trying to trace Dean Marshall, 36, in connection with the incident.

Police officers believe Marshall to be in the Peterborough area, and is recognisable by his large neck tattoo, as well as piercings in his nose and ears.
