Pictures show Cambridge Uber car crash into bollard

Pictures have shown a crash in Cambridge where a car appears to have slammed into a bollard.

The collision between the Uber and the bollard in Eddington Avenue happened at around 6.40pm yesterday (July 11) near Sainsbury's.

The photos appear to show the white Skoda Rapid with damage to its bumper, while the bollard looks to have been bent forward.

A woman was treated by paramedics and was taken to Addenbrooke's Hospital with a possible neck injury.

It is not yet known if it was a serious injury.

An East of England Ambulance spokeswoman said: "We were called at 6.21pm (July 11th) with reports of a road traffic collision in Eddington Avenue, Cambridge.

"We sent an ambulance and a rapid response vehicle.

"A woman was taken to Addenbrooke's Hospital for further treatment by ambulance.

"The patient was assessed and treated at the scene for a possible neck injury and was taken to hospital for further care."
