Stansted Airport is the most expensive airport in the country for "kiss and fly" charges according to a new study by the RAC.
So called "kiss and fly" charges are basically how much it costs to drop a loved one off at an airport.
Certainly gone are the times when you could park outside and help someone in with their bags thats for sure.
In the RAC's new study 18 out of 22 airports have increased their drop-off prices.
Both Cambridgeshire's local international airports topped the list with Luton and Stansted joint first for the most expensive drop-off charges.
For just ten minutes Stansted was the most expensive, charging £4 for just 10 minutes (for the same price you get three more minutes at Luton making it practically a bargain!).
However, both airports were equal in cost for 30 minutes, charging £8 for the privilege. Compare that to Leeds-Bradford airport which is free for the first hour!
RAC spokesman Simon Williams said the best advice is to "do your research" before heading to an airport to drop off or pick someone up.
He added: "Many travellers simply do not have easy public transport access to get to the airport and even if they do, they can't always depend on it getting them to the airport in good time.
"Many drivers dropping off their friends or family will naturally only spend a minute or two doing so, which makes the experience all the more painful."Read More – Source
