A healthy diet plan and regular exercise is important when trying to form a healthy lifestyle. One woman shared her impressive weight loss transformation and what she ate to get into shape.
For Kerry Luck, from Roade, Northamptonshire, the weight had slowly piled on over the years.
She had tried various diets but always found herself resorting back to old and unhealthy habits.
The dieter decided to change her lifestyle for good after hearing about a diet plan that helped her friend slim down.
She said: “My weight had steadily increased over the years because I was comfortable with where I was in my life.
“I had tried several diets and would lose a couple of pounds, but I always found ways to cheat.
“After my weekly weigh-ins I would go to the Chinese, before long the weight I’d lost crept back on so I stopped going back.
“After hearing LighterLife on the radio I was more determined than ever before to lose weight and keep it off.
Kerry followed her friend’s advice and signed up for a slimming group run by weight management company LighterLife.
She swapped unhealthy takeaways for the company’s calorie controlled products.
“Swapping conventional food for four LighterLife products a day was a lot easier than I thought it would be. When I first made myself a LighterLife meal I was convinced it would never fill me up,” she continued.
“I was happily proven wrong and was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed them.”
By making the switch, Kerry started to improve her relationship with food and shed three stone in the first few months.
The slimmer explained: “Three months in, I had lost just over three stone.
“I was encouraged by my LighterLife counsellor to get rid of all of my ‘fat’ clothes and began building up a new wardrobe.
“Losing weight felt liberating and with every pound I lost I felt more confident and more excited about my future.”
In nine months, Kerry has dropped 9st 5lb, going from 18st 13lb to a healthy 9st 8lb.
Previously squeezing into a size 26 dress, she managed to slim down by eight dress sizes and wears a size 10 to 12.
By losing weight, Kerry also noticed her confidence and happiness improve.
She added: “I’m so much happier now I’m at a healthy weight and am looking forward to seeing what the future holds.”
