If you’ve been thinking of treating yourself to a shiny new Galaxy S20 then now may appear to be a very good time to take the plunge. This 2020 Samsung flagship has been slashed to its lowest ever price by one UK retailer making this phone look like quite a bargain.
Argos is currently selling the S20 for just £649 which is a saving of over £200 off the original asking price. That’s a good deal and you get a lot of phone for your money with the S20 featuring a stunning 6.2-inch 120Hz display, solid triple rear camera with Space Zoom and fast Exynos 990 processor. Other treats that come packed inside this phone include reverse wireless charging, embedded fingerprint scanner under the screen and expandable memory which helps to boost your storage when you need it.
The model Argos is selling at the reduced price even gets access to 5G data speeds allowing users to access the web at super-fast speeds when away from their fixed-line broadband. 5G is the future of mobile technology with recent tests performed by Express.co.uk showing downloads at over 300Mbps can be easily achieved
Well, Samsung has just made a big announcement which looks set to overshadow the current Galaxy models.
The Korean company has confirmed that it will unveil its next generation of smartphones next week, January 14, with rumours suggesting the Galaxy S21 will be unleashed on the world.
In a post on its website, Samsung said: “Learn more about the new experiences that are built to make your everyday life epic at Samsung Galaxy Unpacked 2021, which will be broadcast on Samsung.com on January 14, 2021.”
This next generation of smartphone is almost certain to be much more powerful, feature longer battery life and get a striking new design.
In fact, Samsung has even teased how things may change with a camera module that now curves around the sides of the phone rather than bulging out of the rear case – something the S20 was heavily criticised for.
As with all new flagships, we expect this snapper to get a raft of bonus features and improvements which should help to boost the photography credentials of the phone.
Another rumour doing the rounds is that the more premium S21 Ultra will get support for the S Pen stylus something that, until now, has only been reserved for the Note range of smartphones.
With just over a week to go until the S21 is revealed to the world, it might not be the wisest decision to invest in a Galaxy S20 even with the current, and very generous, discount from Argos.
Fans should probably wait until full details have been revealed on January 14 before making any decisions and spending their hard-earned cash on a phone that could look instantly outdated.
