Londoners have seen some record-breaking temperatures in the past week and it seems we can look forward to some more warmer weather.
The UK recorded its warmest March day in 53 years as 24.5C was recorded on Tuesday, March 30 in Kew Gardens in West London.
But those living in the capital have also dealt with some surprising weather patterns.
Despite the warmer temperatures on Easter Sunday, Londoners were treated to snow flurries on Bank Holiday Monday.
Despite the snow yesterday (April 5), this week will be warmer with highs of 12C on Friday 9. But the best is yet to come.
And, it won’t be too long until we will be met with a spring ‘mini heatwave.’
From Monday 12, temperatures will begin to rise throughout the week and reach a high of 17C on Sunday 18.
Temperatures will reach 13C on Tuesday 13 and Wednesday 14, with sunny intervals and a gentle breeze expected.
On Thursday 15 temperatures will rise to 15C.
Londoners will be happy to know that from Friday 16, temperatures will reach 16C with a high of 17C on Sunday 18.
So people living in the capital will not only enjoy a warmer week, but also an entire weekend (April 16-18) of high temperatures and sunny spells.
And it will be most welcome.
The next stage of the easing of lockdown restrictions will come into place on April 12.
From this date, pubs and restaurants will reopen outdoors for groups of six or people from two households.
Non-essential retail will also open as well as hairdressers, nail salons, gyms and leisure centres.
It seems we can all look forward to brighter days ahead with a sunny weekend and a pint in hand.
