Cambridge has been named in a list of the ten best places in Britain to find Michelin quality food.
The research by moneybeach.co.uk looked at the number of restaurants featured in the Michelin Guide in over 100 towns and cities and compared this to the total number of restaurants in each of the locations, to find out how likely you are to be able to experience some fine dining when visiting.
Cambridge, home to Michelin Guide-featured restaurants such as Midsummer House and Parker’s Tavern, ranked above the likes of Brighton, Bristol and Birmingham, having a greater ratio of Michelin restaurants to total eateries in the city.
Three Cornish towns made it into the list, with top-spot Padstow followed by St Ives in second place and Penzance coming in at number nine, proving you don’t always have to head to the big cities to be in with a chance to experience some fine dining.
